Madhabic-oriented readings on the history of doctrine: The primordial nature of the attribute of ‘kalām’ in the Hanbali school as example
Abstract
This article is a review of the Doctrinal Reading of Doctrinal History: the Qualitative Antiquity of the Quality of Speech in the Hanbali School as a Model. The publication of traditional texts according to the rules of critical publishing is one of the most important aspects of the development of scientific research in Islamic studies (i.e., religious studies. Despite the promising movement now in heritage publishing, there are some shortcomings in the scientific presentation of these published texts. This shortcoming is not due to the incomprehensibility of the study of its issues and dimensions, but due to the shortcoming in the historical research of the same issue, and the systematic failure in dealing with aspects of problems for analysis before reaching a conclusion. This shortcoming has its various reasons, which we are not going to clarify here.
