Abstract
This article is a translation of Henri Laoust's article entitled "Religious Unrest in Baghdad in the 4th and 5th Hijri Centuries." At first glance, the article almost seems to be transposing historical stories and events that contributed to the fall of the Islamic caliphate in Baghdad into the French language. However, it contains a number of interpretations that are supported by evidence from history. Therefore, translating this article into Arabic is very important. It attributed the fall of Baghdad to sectarian contributions that were not innocent of this fall.
